It ends on a cliffhanger, leaving audiences with the famous question, "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?".

                  Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017): The sequel and prequel reveals the story behind the first film's ending. It follows Amarendra Baahubali's tragic fall and his son Mahendra's journey to reclaim his birthright and avenge his father's death.

                  Baahubali: The Beginning (2015): The first film introduces Mahendra Baahubali, raised in a secluded village, who uncovers his royal past in the kingdom of Mahishmati and the events that led to his father's death. The story ends on a cliffhanger, with the loyal commander Kattappa revealing that he was the one who killed Amarendra Baahubali.
                  Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017): This sequel fills in the backstory, revealing how Amarendra Baahubali was betrayed by his brother Bhallaladeva and tragically killed by Kattappa under duress. The film concludes with Mahendra Baahubali avenging his father and reclaiming the throne.
                  Baahubali: The Epic (2025): A remastered, combined version of the two original films, spanning over five hours, is set to be released in theaters on October 31, 2025.
